Female singer and voice actor from Yamato, Kanagawa Prefecture. She debuted as an anime singer with Kurenai Sanshiro and scored a million-seller with the theme of the social phenomenon Candy Candy. Hailed as the Queen of Anison, she is counted among the Four Heavenly Kings of anison alongside Isao Sasaki, Ichiro Mizuki, and Kumiko Osugi. Her vast catalog includes the BikkuriMan 2000 ED 'Bokura no Takarabako,' the Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san OP, and the Jewelpet ED; she has also worked extensively as a World Masterpiece Theater voice actor and as a mentor to younger performers.
